| diabetes is a chronic disease where there is inadequate production or utilization of insulin to break down blood sugar into energy
illness tends to raise blood sugar in those persons with diabetes
high blood sugar levels which have previously been under control are a red flag that an infectious process may be occurring
you may need additional insulin when sick but contact your Health Care Provider for the dosage
diabetic ketoacidosis is a medical emergency where the amount of insulin in the body is not sufficient enough to break down ketones
diabetic ketoacidosis can usually be prevented from reaching an extremely dangerous state if an individual remains well hydrated
discuss with your Health Care Provider the use of over-the-counter (OTC) products before you take them
some OTC medications can raise the blood sugar level in your blood |
